God’s kindness and sorrow that is according to the will of God leads to repentance.
Romans 2:4
Or do you think lightly of the riches of His kindness and tolerance and patience, not knowing that the kindness of God leads you to repentance?
2 Corinthians 7:10
For the sorrow that is according to the will of God produces a repentance without regret, leading to salvation, but the sorrow of the world produces death.
So what does THAT mean? It means that God is patient with us, tolerant, and kind to lead us to repent. We suffer in this life so we dont have to suffer in the after-life – so we will be sorrowful and repent and turn to God.
