Medical Missions

I thought I might provide a page of mission trips or organizations specific to medical missions….

http://www.mmint.org/ – serve Jesus Christ by providing spiritual and physical health care in this world of need.

http://www.vimm.org/ – a team of Christian Doctors, nurses, and many other volunteers that minister to the physical & spiritual needs of children & adults in developing countries throughout the world.

http://www.medicalmissions.org/ – connects medical volunteers and job seekers with mission organizations sponsoring medical missions.

http://www.medicalmissions.com/GMHC/Home.html – The Global Missions Health Conference exists to inform, train, and equip health care professionals and students to use their medical skills to further God’s kingdom, all through sharing the Gospel with those in need on both the international and domestic mission field.

http://www.samaritanspurse.org/index.php/WMM/index/ – World Medical Mission was established in 1977 to assist general surgeons who wanted to volunteer for short-term mission trips. Today, we place volunteer Christian physicians, dentists, and other medical personnel in mission hospitals and clinics around the world. We also staff a biomedical department and warehouse that provides critically needed medical equipment and supplies to medical mission facilities

http://www.e3partners.org/Page.aspx?pid=827 – Physicians and medical professionals are naturally great disciple-makers; they have practiced “see one, do one, teach one” since their education began. This concept carries over to missions— simply take a colleague along on mission and share an experience that can be duplicated on future medical trips. Each year, many medical mission teams travel the world administering humanitarian aid; some even pair this with evangelism.
