The sin of unbelief – not trusting God enough to believe Him.

The Israelites didn’t trust God enough to go into the promised land – it looked too scarey. (Numbers 13-14)

They also didn’t trust God enough to want God’s guidance – they just wanted God to tell them what they wanted to hear (Jeremiah 42).

Paul tells us in Hebrews 3:14 “we have become partakers of Christ, if we hold fast the beginning of our assurance firm until the end.”

Paul also tells us in Titus 3:8 “This is a trustworthy statement; and concerning these things I want you to speak confidently, so that those who have believed God will be careful to engage in good deeds. These things are good and profitable for men.”

John tells us in 1 John 1:6-7 6 “If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth; 7 but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. ”

John also tells us in 1 John 3:24, “The one who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. We know by this that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us.”

Have YOU hardened your heart in the sin of unbelief?

Are you holding fast the beginning of your assurance firm until the end? Are you engaging in good deeds?

Are you in fellowship with other Christians (ie., in church)?

Are you obeying God?

Dont suffer from the sin of unbelief – trust God and show it by your life!
