RESURRECTION SUNDAY

RESURRECTION SUNDAY

The Messiah left a life of splendor in heaven to be born a baby in a cattle trough. His birth had been foretold. His life was one of a working man. He was a model of obedience to God, love for God and others. While he could have an army of angels defend him when he was falsely accused, instead he chose to suffer quietly as he died a painful and shameful death on the cross – innocent of all he had been accused. He suffered and died so he could pay the price of your sins, turning God’s wrath away from any who accept him as Lord and Savior.

The first Resurrection Sunday was the Sunday after Christ died on that cross. He had been buried in a tomb, guarded by Roman soldiers. On the third day, Sunday, Christ rose from the dead, defeating death and leaving an empty tomb.

Thank you GOD!
