Anxious, worried, fearful? Don’t be!

Worry is a lack of faith, which is a sin. WE must trust God loves us, that God cares about us, that God has a pefect plan, and that God takes care of us.

Jesus said to not worry about what you will eat or drink or whether you will have clothing – but seek GOD and HIS kingdom and HIS rightseousness and all these things will be given to you.

Matthew 6:25-33 25 “For this reason I say to you, do not be worried about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they? 27 And who of you by being worried can add a single hour to his life? 28 And why are you worried about clothing? Observe how the lilies of the field grow; they do not toil nor do they spin, 29 yet I say to you that not even Solomon in all his glory clothed himself like one of these. 30 But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, will He not much more clothe you? You of little faith! 31 Do not worry then, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear for clothing?’ 32 For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33 But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

Jesus said to not to be afraid of those who can kill the body, but to fear GOD who can kill the body and cast you into hell.

Luke 12:4-6 4 “I say to you, My friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that have no more that they can do. 5 But I will warn you whom to fear: fear the One who, after He has killed, has authority to cast into hell; yes, I tell you, fear Him!

Jesus sets us from from sin, and therefore we can rest in HIS hands.

Acts 13:38-39
38 Therefore let it be known to you, brethren, that through Him forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you, 39 and through Him everyone who believes is freed from all things, from which you could not be freed through the Law of Moses.

John 8:36 So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.

Paul said that what ever is not of faith is sin, and worry shows a distinct lack of faith, so it is sin.

Romans 14:22-23 22 The faith which you have, have as your own conviction before God. Happy is he who does not condemn himself in what he approves. 23 But he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because his eating is not from faith; and whatever is not from faith is sin.

Paul said to be anxious for njothing, but make your requests known to God and God’s peace will guard your heart and mind.

Philippians 4:5-7 5 Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near. 6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Peter said God cares for you, so you should casy your anxiety upon Him.

1 Peter 5:6-8 6 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time, 7 casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you. 8 Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.

If we love God perfectly, we will not fear, and we love because God first loved us.

1 John 4:17-19 17 By this, love is perfected with us, so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment; because as He is, so also are we in this world. 18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love. 19 We love, because He first loved us.

Turn to God. Trust God. give Him your fears and anxieties and needs and desires. Seek God’s righteousness and kingdom, and God will provide.
