Behavior of the wife (positive) 11/15

This is the eleventh part of a series about marriage.

Women should be reverent in the way they live, not slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good; they should train younger women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God.  (Titus 2:3-5).

A virtuous wife is the crown of her husband, but she who shames him is like rottenness in his bones. (Proverbs 12:4).

The wife of noble character is one who is worthy of confidence, brings good her husband, is diligent in her tasks, is not idle, is wise, is charitable, takes care of her family, feeds and clothes those in their home, manages her home, teaches, is strongly faithful and dignified, causes others to respect her husband, is praised by her children and husband, loves God  (Proverbs 31:10-31).

A wife should be beautiful inside and be full of a peaceful spirit, pure and reverent of God (1 Peter 3:1-5).

The woman was created to help her husband (Genesis 2:15-18).

The woman is subject to her husband so that if he is disobedient to the word, he can be won to the Lord without word through her conduct  (1 Peter 3:1-6).

She should respect her husband and submit to the authority of her husband through reverence of the Lord (Ephesians 5:21-23, Colossians 3:18).
