taking a break…

Folks, I must ask for prayer. My wife left me 2/11/2010. As such, much of my posts in February and the few I made in March had been previously prepared. I have been focusing all my time and attention on my family. I will continue to do so for the near future at the very least.

This is a very trying time for me, my wife, and our children. Please pray we look to God and not give in to selfishness, pain, pride, fear, guidance that is not from God. Please pray we rely upon God and find a new “normal” that is what God wants from us and for us, regardless of whether my wife and I reconcile.

I am uncertain if I will continue to post on this blog – I must first seek God’s will on the matter. At this time, I am very uncertain I will continue to teach God’s word. It is not that I am having a shaking of my faith, nor that I do not beleve. I believe in God more today than ever before. I trust God more today than ever before. God is making it possible for me to be able to do many things I was not aware I could do. Praise be to God for how He has led me and my children! No, the issues on whether I will post again on this blog are three (in no particular order): 1) am I still qualified? 2) do I have time? 3) Is it what God wants?

Please pray for the restoration and healing of my family, and divine guidance for us all, and softened hearts.

Thank you,

In Christ’s name and love,

WBMoore

  2. W,
Still praying for you all. I did not know the issue, but sadly I see this often in my other pastoral e-mails. Marriage and the family are certainly under seige today! I know you must have others there that are helping and guiding you, but if I can be of any help? Please feel free to contact me.

    Yours In Christ,
    Fr. Robert

    • Thanks Fr. R. I have been in consultation with pastors and counselors and friends. I have been in prayer and held up in prayer. God has made clear I am to wai upon Him and He will get glory. I have no idea what will be the outcome of all this. I only know I am God’s and am expected to obey. Thankfully, God makes at least some of it easy. But sometimes, even so, it is hard to wait upon God.

  3. I am very sorry to hear this. My prayers are with you Brother. May the Lord be merciful to you and your family and may He give you wisdom as you humbly and faithfully cling to Him through this turmoil. My heart breaks for your family.

    • Rick, I appreciate your support and prayers. It has been difficult. Yet, God has been with me the entire time. I am finding waiting on Him in this has been more difficult than I had imagined. But God has been clear HE will get glory through this.

  4. Sorry to hear about your maritial problems WB. May God give you and your wife grace to forgive, and to change in your lives what needs to be changed.

I hope you will share what God is teaching you and doing in your life and in your marriage.

Maybe one day your wife can share too.

    Love in Christ,

    Pat

    • Thanks Pat. I’m not sure what I can share at this point. Suffice it to say that one must always strive to seek God, His righteousness, to Love God, and love others – staring with one’s spouse.

I have learned that God wants us to wait upon Him, to not harden our hearts, to show love, to rely upon God, and that GOD will get the glory.

  6. WB, wow, tough time. I know that you will find my recent article on the Seven Principles of Transcending Suffering to be a blessing. These are words you need to read and feel the Holy Spirit directing this to you. http://wp.me/p8N6Q-jc

Feel free to leave a comment. May God Bless you in your grief my brother.

  7. Yes, WB waiting on God is very difficult. Surrendering to do God’s will is equally as challenging (at least it is for me). The ole flesh wants to be in control.

You said, ” But God has been clear HE will get glory through this.” I find this encouraging.

    May God bless.

    Pat
