So who did Jesus die for? The high priest Caiaphas predicted that Jesus was going to die not just for the nation of Israel, but to gather into one people the children of God from all nations. This would include both Jewish and Gentile believers from all nations – NOT unbelievers.
John 11:49-52
49 But one of them, Caiaphas, who was high priest that year, said to them, “You know nothing at all, 50 nor do you take into account that it is expedient for you that one man die for the people, and that the whole nation not perish.” 51 Now he did not say this on his own initiative, but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus was going to die for the nation, 52 and not for the nation only, but in order that He might also gather together into one the children of God who are scattered abroad.

This will be the last time I post on your websites. I pray that you are not offended by my comments. They are intended only for you to consider.
Your above quote from John ties to the long discussed mystery and meaning of “fullness of the gentiles”. The source of my comments are based on the kjv version of the bible.
The tribes have been scattered throughout the world for scores of generations. During this time, the scattered tribes seed has most certainly been placed in the bloodline of every living gentile by now (even though we don’t know which tribe we descend from). This is God’s promise that the seed would number as the sands of the sea and the stars of the sky. I would simply ask you to read Matt ch 26 vs 26 through 29 concerning the body and blood and the new wine with this in mind. Also, Ezek 47 is a beautiful description of the spreading of the seed. This has brought me to the conclusion that the 144,000 in chapters 7 and14 of the book of revelation are the same group.
You need to consider that we are them……we are the strangers, the virgins and this was God’s intention all along.
may God bless
You miss the fact that not all Israel is Israel – God calls the Gentiles who beleive His children and does not call the Jews who do not believe His children. It is not those who descend from Abraham ohysically who are the children of God, but those who descend from him spiritually – those who trust God through faith in Christ.
Paul wrote the letters of Romans and Galatians long before sufficient DNA would hVe mixed from Jews to Gentiles after Christ died. So no, its not that we are physically Israel, but that we are spiritually Israel because we beleive in Christ – which makes us children of God, the people for whom Christ died.
